What to send for a roofing claim supplement review.

Your claim review checklist

• Original carrier estimate
  Include the complete estimate, not only the coverage summary or payment page.
• Latest revised estimate
  If the carrier has already updated the scope, include that version too.
• Damage and property photos
  Organize overview and close-up photos by slope, elevation, room, or trade.
• Measurements
  Include available roof measurements, sketches, EagleView or Hover reports, or measured quantities.
• Contractor scope and supporting costs
  Include your estimate, relevant bids, material quotes, invoices, and a short explanation of the scope difference.
• Technical or code documentation
  Include applicable manufacturer instructions, local requirements, or building-official correspondence already collected.
• Carrier correspondence
  Include requests for more information, reinspection notes, and relevant claim emails or letters.
• Completion documents, when applicable
  Include completion photos, final invoices, and any certificates or closeout paperwork.
• A short claim summary
  Tell us what is missing or disputed, what work is planned or complete, and the best way to contact you.

Make the file easy to follow

Name documents clearly, such as “Original carrier estimate,” “Roof measurements,” or “West slope photos.” Keep the original images and documents available, and include a short description of the items you want reviewed.
